In the air
O2_air filter/ paint on the wood, yarn, fan, fabric, motor /45x45 cm/ 2025
seventy-eight % of the air we breathe is nitrogen. High concentrations of clear oxygen make us healthy, but as soon as the oxygen concentration in the air exceeds 21%, we slowly die. Too much is always no good.

Impossible
“Impossible” is a project group created by Song E Yoon(Born in South Korea, ~1983)and Ramu Ataku(Born in Tokyo, ~1990) in 2025. They are an international duo of women conceptual artists. They are impossible artists, just like the team name. They work on putting ideas that have been rejected or impossible into practice.
Song E Yoon and Ramu Ataku have continued their work activities under their own supervision. Ironically, as the depth of the work is added, the artist's ego becomes stronger, which results in blocking new attempts. Now, they are trying to erase the egos that they have accumulated so far through the activities of 'impossible artists.' For artists, ego is an identity, but they think that their egos may be a mind that prevents their caricatures and mobilizes imagination that is contrary to their thoughts.
Artist Note
We seek the impossible. It's not about making the impossible to possible. It's about doing the impossible independently and always leaving possibilities and room.
We're a group of female artists. As most other artists do, we agonized about identity and thought about what hindered our activities. There were many external factors, but we were always the most important in determining a problem. The answer is always to yourself; our actions become seeds and influence our surroundings. Then, we had to find something that hindered our growth and boundaries and break away.
We thought of ways to treat people with many wounds during conversation. Fashion therapy is one of the treatment options. By trying something that makes you uncomfortable, you overcome your feelings of discomfort and fear. For example, you can make someone who doesn't usually wear revealing clothes wear them, face people, and gradually ease the pain, thereby overcoming your heart's wounds and fears. On the other hand, people who wear revealing clothes are encouraged to wear non-exposed clothes and live a life. If a person realizes that they have not received enough attention, even if they cover their entire body, their anxiety, and wounds gradually heal.
We have decided to try something we dislike and reject the most among the methods of art that we have not usually tried. For example, we find another meaning by striving for parodies, street art, an art that seems to lack philosophy, and empty things that seem crude and commercial. This is not a special sense of mission or a willingness to create a new trend in art. We are just trying to enjoy the process of overcoming ourselves by revealing our attempts to overcome ourselves without any addition or subtraction. Rather than thinking about how this will look, we are trying to break down the things that we, as artists, are uncomfortable with and afraid of through this process.
Art Theme
Impossible has three themes: ' in the air’, the Bible, and the Barboo collections. At this art fair, they appear in the ‘In the air’ series.
The Bible
Jesus said, ‘Let him who is without sin cast the first stone’ You threw stones at them without your knowledge. Neo renaissance is impossible.
Barboo Collection
In the barboo project, an impossible artist can be anything. Barboo is our fictional character. Barboo cheerfully interprets this era with humor and absurdity while ironically showing the phenomenon of contemporary human relationships. No judgment is needed.
In the air
We don't just exist in the visible world; energy exists even in the invisible world. In this project, you can't touch us but can feel us with scents.
