Sunjoo Chung(born in Seoul, 1968~)

Working with mother-of-pearl, a material deeply embedded in traditional Korean decorative arts, Chung reimagines mundane, universally recognizable forms—such as candies and daily objects—through a contemporary lens. Her meticulous craftsmanship and conceptual approach elevate the ordinary, revealing an understated yet resonant form of beauty. By blending cultural references from both East and West, her work engages in a quiet dialogue between tradition and modernity, intimacy and spectacle.

Ocean (born in California, 1978)

Ocean is a disabled poet, novelist, and visual artist living in the Pacific Northwest. His poetry, essays and fiction are known for their resuscitation of the mythic and their contribution to literary animism. His visual arts, informed by proto-language and asemia, have shown internationally.

Ramu Ataku (Born in Tokyo, ~1990)

Ramu Ataku is a Japanese contemporary artist whose work reimagines the boundaries of identity, collaboration, and material transformation. Rooted in the concept of “remake,” Ataku collects fragmented or discarded elements—whether visual, emotional, or material—and reconstructs them into cohesive, emotionally charged works that challenge conventional narratives of authorship and value. Her practice spans painting, textile-based works, character art, collaborative installations, and socially engaged art projects.

Chunbum Park

Unable to transition my gender due to pressure from family and society, I repeatedly paint myself as a woman.

What is feminine beauty? What is feminine as opposed to the masculine? For me, the two directions in the spectrum of gender are like symbols, similar to the bathroom signs. The masculine sign is rectangular, while the feminine sign is circular and/or triangular. Signs are essentially actors in the psychological theater, who perform their roles according to the expectations of their signs, almost like stereotypes.

Mary McGee (Born in Connecticut, 1999)

Mary McGee is a New York City based visual artist whose work primarily explores the intersections of sexuality, femininity, and religion. Growing up in a Catholic household, she navigates the tension between guilt and pride in female sexuality, approaching the subject as both a feminist and an ally. Mary’s vibrant, whimsical, and figurative paintings challenge traditional narratives while celebrating self-expression and bodily autonomy. As someone with bipolar, she also explores the complexities of love and relationship through this lens, capturing the emotional intensity, contradictions, and longing that shape her experiences. Through bold color and playful yet thoughtful imagery, she creates a body of work that questions, reclaims, and reimagines the forces shaping identity and belief.
