In 2026, the exhibition will be held in Venezia, Italy.
The project "A Crushed Memory Time & Space" records the process of two female artists, Song E Yoon and Roberta Gatel, who lived in the same era but penetrated different cultural backgrounds and historical perspectives to find personal memories and historical records curated by ART NYC.
These two artists live differently from different backgrounds. Song E Yoon was born in South Korea and completed her studies, but now lives and works in New York, USA. Roberta Gattel is from Venice, Italy but now lives in York, England. Although the two are unlikely to overlap, they penetrated each other's history with the attraction of fateful energy. The concerns and processes of the individual, society, and art form they are interested in and the will and process to solve the problem are part of this project's motif and overall structure.
They exchange letters and share their interests and problems, creating a common theme. Sometimes, they travel across time and space to find historical records. All of this process is periodically released online, and the results are shown as works through exhibitions. This process will be gradually released starting in 2024 and will be shown through exhibitions in 2026.
