The night sky I encountered in Joshua Tree.
The reason the trip to Joshua Tree was so special to me is that it was the first time in my life I had ever seen so many stars and such a clear Milky Way.
Countless stars filled the sky so densely that it felt impossible to capture them in any drawing.
I lay down and looked up at the sky for hours.
Then, in a single instant, I saw a shooting star.
It was such a brief moment, yet the fact that such a short flash could give me such deep emotion was incredibly moving.
Even before this trip, I enjoyed looking up at the night sky, but after this experience, my interest expanded beyond simply observing the night sky and grew into a deeper curiosity about the universe itself.
