Last night, I drank some wine with Ella and Dante. I didn't mean to, but when immersed in the story and drinking wine, one glass becomes two, and one bottle becomes two bottles. When we came to our senses, we emptied two bottles of wine.
Of course, I wasn't feeling well today because of a hangover. So, I walked near my studio to refresh myself. Fortunately, it wasn't cold today, so walking was good. It took about 20 minutes on foot to Mongtak train station after passing the Manors Hotel and occasionally witnessed deer running through the road. After the walk, I spent most of my daytime lying in bed and had dinner with Ocean and Ella in the evening. I made Japchae, the Korean food, and shared it with them. Ocean showed some of his drawings, which looked like a visual poem. He is both a writer and a visual artist. It's the first time I've spent so close to writing writers.
It's only been three days since I entered Residence. I like the second-floor study space, where the books Edward F. Albee left behind are stuck. I write and draw at a vintage big table or lie on a black sofa and read a book. I ordered a lot of books about shamanism before I came here, and they were heavy, but I brought them without exception. I can concentrate and read here.
This time and space where I can read freely may be a moment I will never forget.
