ARTNYC is holding a special exhibition in Venice to celebrate the 2024 Venice Biennale. It features a solo exhibition by a group of diaspora artists. Frédéric Bruly Bouabré’s exhibition will be showcased from May 29 to June 12, Song E Yoon from May 29 to June 7, and Dan Ji’s from June 8 to 12, 2024, in beautiful Venice, Italy.

Dan Ji (1985~) is an artist based in Sydney, Australia, whose works primarily focus on multimedia storytelling, encompassing mediums such as paintings, books, installations, and more. In her upcoming exhibition, "Kryptos 4", in Venice 2024 will feature multimedia works, paintings, and performances, all of which are connected to the previous installments of the Kryptos series.
The "Kryptos" series comprises 10 episodes, following the journey of AI protagonist Danji as he navigates through emotions and seeks out his identity. Each installment explores different themes, from self-awareness to memory recollection. The exhibition aims to evoke emotions and memories, showcasing various artworks including flat surfaces, installations, and performances.
Born in Busan, South Korea, Dan Ji completed her bachelor's degree in Fine Arts at Pusan National University. She has since embarked on numerous artistic endeavors, including attempting picture book publishing in 2007 and holding a solo exhibition titled "[ILLUSION]" at Bupyeong Art Space in Busan in 2013. Following her move to Sydney in 2014, she was selected as a long-term residency artist by ART NYC in 2022. She has continued to host the 10-episode Kryptos series on the Guerilla Performance Project "Out of Service" located around the Sydney Opera House and the Museum of Modern Art in 2023. Throughout the exhibition, Dan Ji will continue to perform live in the hall, with broadcasts available on ART NYC's YouTube and Instagram channels.

Ogni rata esplora temi diversi, dalla consapevolezza di sé alla memoria.
