Curator
Seohyun Kang is a curator, USPAP-certified art appraiser, and director working between Korea and the United States. Her practice focuses on international exchange in contemporary art, with an emphasis on research and exhibitions centered on immigrant and diaspora artists. She holds a BFA and MFA in Western Painting from Pusan National University.
In 2010, Kang began her career as the Korea Director of Christina Gallery, where she organized exhibitions introducing European artists to Korea and supported the international advancement of Korean artists, contributing to the globalization of the Korean art market. In 2015, she was appointed Korea Director of Gallery Apartment, where she supported experimental artistic practices in installation and media, and promoted the discovery of emerging artists and the expansion of international discourse through site-specific works and participatory projects.
Since 2020, she has served as Director of ART NYC in New York, leading archival and exhibition projects centered on immigrant and diaspora artists. Her major curatorial projects include Immigrant Artists in America and the ART NYC Award Exhibition. In 2025, she co-curated Frédéric Bruly Bouabré: Cheik Nadro, “The One Who Does Not Forget” at Space 776.
In 2025, she founded The Foundation of ART NYC, establishing a platform for research, preservation, education, and international collaboration in immigrant and diaspora art. In the same year, she was appointed Director of Space 776 New York, strengthening the international exchange platform between Seoul and New York.
As Director of Space 776, she contributed to the international expansion of Korean contemporary art by participating in Asia Week New York (2026) and by supporting the overseas advancement of emerging artists through Expo Chicago. She also led the gallery’s participation in Frieze Art Fair, enhancing its international standing.
In addition, as a USPAP-certified appraiser, she contributes to enhancing fairness and reliability in the art market through professional expertise in art valuation. She continues to expand collaboration and exchange within the international art ecosystem, based in New York and Seoul.

Song E Yoon (1983~, Born in Busan)

Song E Yoon (b. 1983, Busan) is a New York–based artist whose work explores the invisible structures of time, perception, and existence through installation and conceptual practices. Her work investigates the boundaries between material and immaterial dimensions, revealing relationships between physical reality and unseen layers of perception and presence.
In 2026, she presents “Song E Yoon: Songs Across Time” in Venice as a Collateral Event of the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia. Her recent solo exhibitions include SHIFT at Space 776 (Seoul, 2026), Deviant Sublime at ART NYC (Venice, 2024), and Invisible but Present (New York, 2022). She has exhibited internationally in cities including New York, Venice, Milan, Seoul, Busan, and Jakarta.
Her work has also been presented in institutional exhibitions at the Arko Art Center, Gwangju Museum of Art, and Busan Museum of Art. In 2025, she was awarded the Edward F. Albee Foundation Visual Artist Fellowship and Residency, participating in the residency program in Montauk, New York.

Frédéric Bruly Bouabré (1923~2014)
Frédéric Bruly Bouabré (1921–2014, Côte d’Ivoire) was an Ivorian artist renowned for his intricate visual language and conceptual approach to recording knowledge, history, and cultural memory. His work has been exhibited widely in international institutions and biennials, reflecting his profound impact on contemporary African and global art.
Bouabré’s work has been included in major international exhibitions, such as the 2026 Venice Biennale Collateral Event Song E Yoon: Songs Across Time (Venice), Love Letter at ART NYC (Venice, 2024), the Venice Biennale (2013, 2022), Documenta 11 (Kassel, 2002), and Biennale Bénin (Cotonou, 2012). Institutional exhibitions include Tate Modern (London, 2010–2011), Museum of Modern Art (New York, 2022), and Ikon Gallery (Birmingham, 2007). Notably, in 1994, he participated in World Envisioned at the DIA Center for the Arts (New York) and the American Center (Paris), alongside Alighiero Boetti.
His work has also been presented in seminal touring exhibitions such as Africa Remix (2004–2007), Magiciens de la Terre (1989), and The Short Century (2001–2002), traveling to major cities including New York, London, Paris, Tokyo, Berlin, Milan, Bilbao, and Johannesburg. Bouabré’s legacy continues to influence contemporary art globally, bridging African traditions with international conceptual practices.
