One day in the fall of this year, I happened to pick up a fallen leaf while walking. I wanted to preserve this beautiful moment of the fall of 2025 in my own way.
I cut out the center of the leaf and painted another scene inside it. I hoped that the emptied space would act as a new window. And the small piece that was cut out was placed onto another background to create a different relationship. In this way, a single leaf came to hold two perspectives and two different scenes.
With this collage, I wanted to express the sensation of looking outward from within, and looking back at myself from the outside. When the traces left by nature meet the image I created, different times and spaces overlap and form a new story.
