Gravity is the fundamental force that binds the universe with invisible threads. We learn that gravity is the force that makes an apple fall, but it sustains a far larger and deeper world. Without this force, matter could not connect, and stars and planets would not form, existing only as scattered dust. Gravity quietly operates in every moment of the universe, organizing space.
The relationship between the Sun and the planets also begins with gravity. The Sun, due to its enormous mass, radiates a strong gravitational pull, drawing the surrounding planets toward it. But the planets are not merely being pulled; they maintain their own speed and continue to orbit the Sun. Because the pulling force and the motion to move forward are balanced, we can witness a stable sky along the path of their orbits.
Sometimes I think the relationship between the Sun and the planets resembles human life. There must be a center for direction to exist, yet having a center does not mean everything is suppressed. Our lives also continue to move within the gravity of something strong, time, memory, love, or even wounds. Whatever that center may be, we orbit around it, creating our own path.
Just as a planet does not lose its way because of the Sun’s gravity, we continue to find our place guided by something invisible. An unseen force, yet a force we can definitely feel. That force pulls us while simultaneously propelling us forward.
