“It is a boiled egg.”                                                                    — A hungry astronomer

NGC 7742 is also called the “fried-egg galaxy” because of the harmony between its central nucleus and its faint spiral arms. It looks like a cross-section of a boiled egg, or like a fried egg seen from above.

Like a fried sizzling egg sizzling in a pan… or the boiled eggs I often eat for breakfast and love, the firm center and the soft white surrounding it...

 If we resemble the structure of the universe, then our morning also resembles the structure of the universe.
 Our daily life feels the same. There is a center to the day, and small events spread outward. Quiet emotions, small pleasures, and shimmering moments fill the day.
