This photo captures the great conjunction of Jupiter and Venus, taken in South Korea on March 2, 2023. In the southwestern sky of Korea, the two planets approached each other so closely that they appeared almost touching. Such great conjunctions occur approximately once every few years to ten years. The moment when planets come close to each other is the result of invisible forces of gravity coordinating them.

The universe is structured by invisible forces. Similarly, art shapes the form of invisible flows of emotion, energy, and thought, which might share a commonality with the structure of the universe.

Venus and Jupiter are independent entities orbiting at different speeds, yet at a certain moment they meet. The same is true in art, where an artist’s thoughts, experiences, and skills converge to give birth to a work.
